We are accepting applications for a TSS/Student Support position at our IB campus (middle/high school).
A TSS/Student Support worker is responsible for working individually with children with special needs. This individual implements methods and interventions from the treatment plan to help the student develop necessary skills and be successful.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assists the student in developing age appropriate self-management and social skills
- Supports/assists teacher and classroom instruction by encouraging appropriate participation and task completion, providing re-direction and practice of academic skills
- Follows teacher initiated directives or requests during instruction to enhance classroom participation
- Carries out behavioral interventions developed by the team
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to positively interact with students to encourage development
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Excellent dependability and reliability
- Excellent attention to detail and follow through
Applicants who do not yet have their PA teaching certificate may upload the official College Verification of Eligibility Letter, which states you have successfully completed the program and are eligible for certification in lieu of the PA teaching certification document.
